Laxius Force
As a follower of the Laxius saga from the very beginning I have been a player of the first three free games made on RPG MakerI've been quite pleased with the three new opuses, especially this one, who prolongs on a new epic way what gave all the fun to the saga in the past: There's a really good walkthrough on the developer's website. Spells, weapons, magic items! The fiery girls are hot, but the icy one is cool too. To get the best out of it you should play the first 2 parts, otherwise the full depth of the story won't be clear to you.
Casual players may be turned off, but hardcore RPG players will rejoice. They're in it for the story, and the limited production values are a small trade-off for allowing the developers to devote resources to maintain cohesion in the game world throughout the series.

It has so many quests and characters it is probably impossible to finish it entirely. After further losses in Laxius Force IIthe party realizes they can't fight back if they cannot locate their enemy. It's the biggest game of the three and you can literally play for weeks. I love this almost as much as Aveyond. So I am replaying older games. To get the "Epic" is an over-used term, but really there is no other word that does justice to this magnificent ending to a superb trilogy.
